The 3" stainless steel cat delete pipe for the Evo 7|8|9 is designed to bolt up between the stock or an aftermarket 3" downpipe and a stock or aftermarket catback exhaust. This decat pipe is for off-road use only and is not emissions legal. Removing the cat is a surefire way to free up some power in your Evo - up to 15 BHP on a mildly tuned engine.

EVO 7, 8, 9 downpipe replaces the restrictive standard unit to ensure optimal exhaust gasflow.
Once fitted, exhaust gasses exit the turbo faster, speeding up spool up, reducing turbo lag and improving throttle response.

Front mount intercooler kits are an excellent way of safely increasing BHP. They reduce the engine's inlet temperature creating a denser air charge entering the engine. This is proven to give more power at the same boost level. Using a more efficient Bar and Plate core, pressure losses are reduced, which means the turbocharger does not have to worked so hard to produce the desired boost level. This results in reduced turbine outlet temperatures, and greatly reduced engine inlet temperatures. Remember a 3 degree drop in inlet temperature is roughly 1% increase in BHP.

While the standard EVO airbox is ok, a Cold Air Induction Kit is a must have upgrade to gain cheap easy BHP. The high flow mushroom filter offers substantially better airflow than the standard panel type air filter, allowing your engine to breathe easier and provide more airflow to the turbocharger.
